| Howe House
Limited Editions was founded in 1981 by our president
William Baugh. Having served as director of the Lafayette
Indiana Downtown Merchants Association he saw the need for
fundraising items that celebrated the community. The
discovery of a glass Christmas ornament that could be
printed with images of landmark buildings seemed like the
perfect item. Its success was immediate. As popularity
spread it became apparent that he would need to devote all
his time to this new endeavor.
Some company trivia...
It may come as a surprise to learn that no one in our company
has the last name "Howe". The name was inspired by a
historic home in the community where William grew up. Our
logo (which looks much like a greyhound) is actually a
Whippet.
Below are highlights of our growth over the years.
1981
Open for business.
1983
Word-of-mouth sales grow at rapid rate. William quits his
"day job" in order to keep up with expansion.
1988
Sales continue to grow. Dick Ewing is
hired to help us keep up.
1994
Our product line is expanded to include another
first-of-its-kind: custom lighted replicas.
1995

2000
